The East Ayrshire programme is delivered from Centrestage in Kilmarnock by Dougie Morrison, working in close partnership with Secondary Schools across the region. It combines our Rite to Work and Mentored Work Placement models to support young people transitioning from school to working adulthood.
For a flavour of the programme, watch our funding launch with Think Human Foundation. below.
“It’s great to be part of an organisation helping young people move into sustainable employment opportunities.”
The project supports 15-25 year olds – beginning with young people about to reach the school leaving age and supporting them during their last terms at school, before they move into the mentored work placement programme which provides them with the opportunity to gain the skills and experience they need to secure a job or apprenticeship. Local businesses across Ayrshire provide invaluable work placements – read about how successful John McCulloch at Armour Home Improvements has found it here.

The project is funded through the Hunter Foundation, Young Start and Think Human Foundation.
