Corporate partnerships
We are keen to build relationships with large and small organisations, involving staff at every level, customers and clients. As a youth employment charity, we have some unique opportunities for a range of mutually beneficial partnerships that can bring lasting benefits to both organisations.
Charity of the Year
WebHelp, through their Think Human Foundation are supporting our programme in East Ayrshire for two years (2023-25). The partnership means funding towards the new development of the programme working with pupils in S4/5 before they officially leave school and preparing them for the main programme of work placement. Additionally the WebHelpers will have the opportunity to join in some sessions with young people to explain the range of job types available in businesses like WebHelp as well as provide digital focused training.
The Lyreco Group have selected us as one of five charities they are supporting in 2022/23 – WorkingRite is the Scottish choice. As well as fundraising, staff are keen to have the opportunity to join in some sessions with young people to explain the range of job types available in businesses like Lyreco.
Charity Partners
Utility Warehouse partner, Stuart Combe, has nominated WorkingRite as a beneficiary charity for customers referred via the charity and taking out services. This partnership is a win/win with the charity receiving a donation of up to £90 and each new customer able to receive up to two one-off cash benefits and ongoing bill discounts. Please contact Stuart directly via the link to activate the charity donation rather than completing the ‘signup’ online.
The charity is only a recipient of donations and is not party to any information shared with UW. nor can it enter into any discussion about agreements made with UW.
We have been provided with a Charity Membership of BNI Sunshine on Leith, one of several successful business referral groups in the BNI Scotland South & East region. This also enables us to meet up on a monthly basis with 14 other charity members to share ideas and experiences.
As well as support from all of our work placement providers, we also look to develop relationships with local businesses as their charity of the month / year.
Our previous corporate partners have included:
Baillie Gifford whose staff nominated us as Charity of the Year in 2021/23 and raised £45,000 as well as providing additional benefits and support to the organisation and young people.
Barratt Homes UK who provided a grant of £10,000 in 20/21.
KFC Foundation whose customers and staff in Scotland raised over £57,000 during 2018 and 2019.
Partnerships can include:
Nominate WorkingRite as your Charity of the Year
Donate professional services
Become one of our partner work placement providers for a young person in your community
Place a collection can on your shop counter/reception desk
Benefits can include:
Enhancing your company’s image in the local community
Developing employee motivation and morale
Raising awareness of your company among supporters, service users, staff and stakeholders of WorkingRite
Each partnership is managed on a case by case basis to ensure that both parties achieve the best possible outcome and our fundraising team is happy to discuss this with you. Please call us on 0131 553 9395 or email the fundraising team.
Trusts & foundations
WorkingRite is very grateful to the many charitable Trusts and Foundations that support our programmes across the country. Through these grants we are able to respond in the areas where the need is greatest and we can support as many young people as possible.
We are continuously looking to build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations and welcome the opportunity to discuss a range of projects for Trusts to support. These include our programme staff salaries, programme development, individual trainee costs and management, administration costs and core running costs.
If you are a Trustee or a Trust staff member and would like to find out more about how you can support WorkingRite, please contact Alison.
