Our Edinburgh programme is growing and currently has three projects.
Since 2014 WorkingRite has, along with the delivery of its core model, developed projects to work with young people who might feel they have been rejected or left disenfranchised by the ‘system’ and are at highest risk of slipping through the cracks. Our Edinburgh projects have been developed to support those with very specific circumstances.
For more information about each project and who to contact to get involved, use the links below:
The Street Soccer Edinburgh project – a pilot programme delivered in partnership with Street Soccer, supporting young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
The Leith Pioneers project – a partnership programme with The Cyrenians, supporting school leavers (16-18) from secondary schools in and around Leith and the north east of Edinburgh.
The Rite to Work project – a programme supporting S4 pupils before their school leaving age, currently in partnership with Leith Academy and Castlebrae High School.
Previous Edinburgh projects include:
The RiteOn project (2017-19) – an extended programme of up to 6 months work-placement for young people in their mid to late teens – supporting them away from crime and into positive young adulthoods,
The Single Parent project (2018/19) – a pilot programme in partnership with One Parent Families Scotland, which adapted our core model to work with adults who are single parents and struggling to get into work. OPFS have now incorporated a model of the programmme into their services, with our advisory support.
